Join Denim Day – April 30, 2025:

We wear denim with purpose.

Denim Day is the last Wednesday in April when people across the world wear denim to denounce harmful behaviors and attitudes that surround sexual violence, celebrate body autonomy, and show support for survivors.

This year’s theme is #commUNITYsafety, which signifies how community is reclaiming and redefining safety.

On April 30th, Maspeth stands in solidarity to take a stand against sexual violence and promote a culture of consent, respect, and unity.

Join us by wearing denim and spreading awareness.

Help is Available

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual violence, help is available:

  1. Find resources and support in NYC by searching the NYC HOPE Resource Directory online at nyc.gov/hopeservices
  2. Call 311 or visit nyc.gov/fjc to get connected to the nearest NYC Family Justice Center
  3. Call NYC’s 24-Hour Hope Hotline at 1-800-621–HOPE (4673) for immediate safety planning, shelter assistance, and other resources. TDD: 1-800-810-7444
  4. Chat with a hotline advocate at on.nyc.gov/hotlinechat
  5. In an emergency or to report a crime, call or text 911 for a law enforcement response

Awareness is the first step in addressing and ending sexual violence, and we hope you can join us in sharing information across New York City!
